No, this is not the same Whelen team that runs in IMSA, because this is an ADAC competitor, but it would be nice to see the US Whelen team run a Pirelli World Challenge campaign using that hot motherfucker.

Hope that if my friends and I (and Autobacs Racing Team Aguri) ask and persuade the right people good enough, Oreca or another chassis builder would make a GT3 version of the current Ford GT. Moonshot, I know, but if Ford doesn’t want to let me have a used version of the GTE racer come 2017 to campaign in the WEC, then good riddance to them.
